Philip McConchie

PhilipPhilip is trained as an architect and a building scientist at Victoria University before departing on his OE for a period of 4 years in the United Kingdom.

On return to New Zealand he became heavily involved in the design and documentation in the majority of BP Oil New Zealand Limited’s retail developments, and recently become involved in the maintenance and upgrading of their commercial truck stop refuelling facility.

Philip heads the Fire and Services of Spencer Holmes Limited, and has a good understanding of the building regulations.

Given his broad understanding of the issues associated with building and construction along with the commercial limitations Philip provides high level strategic advice to a large number of developers and landlords, most of whom are long standing clients.

Philip is married with two sons and spends his weekends involved in their sports. Philip is also the convener of the Property Sub committee of the Wellington Club.
