Rangoon St Bridge

A technically challenging project because of the site constraints such as consultation for noise with close neighbouring residential properties, the historic nature of the old timber bridge and the site constraints with the overhead rail line, working with Ontrack to get acceptable (and cost effective for Wellington City Council) design solution with minimal block of line closures.
Spencer Holmes Limited led the company project team which undertook structural and civil engineering design, surveying and resource management planning for the proposed bridge.

The project was completed and opened by the Mayor Kerry Prendergast and councillor Andy Foster in early 2009 and provides a well functioning long term asset that improves the access and amenity value to the local community.
